Phone-Based Mining Comes to RichX Chain as Bitcoin RXC Joins Gold-Indexed Ethicoin
NEW YORK — RichX Chain lets people mine Bitcoin RXC (RBTX) from a phone or browser, while Ethicoin (ETHIC+) adds a fee-free, gold-indexed token to the same low-cost network.
Mining a cryptocurrency has long meant racks of specialised hardware and heavy electricity bills. RichX Chain is pitching a different picture: a token that can be mined from an ordinary smartphone or web browser, running next to a gold-referenced asset on the same network.
The two assets at the centre of that pitch are Bitcoin RXC (RBTX), a proof-of-work token, and Ethicoin (ETHIC+), a fixed-supply token tied to a published gold formula.
How RBTX mining works
RBTX is described in the book Bitcoin RXC: The Restoration by Sutibu Kanemochi. According to the project, it aims to bring back the early one-CPU-one-vote ideal associated with Satoshi Nakamoto.
Miners search for a nonce so that keccak256(challenge || miner || nonce) falls below a target value. The check runs entirely on-chain using Keccak-256, which is why a phone browser is enough to take part.
Supply rules written into the contract
The token is capped at 21,000,000 RBTX and launched with no premine. Each valid proof initially pays 5 RBTX. That reward halves after every 2,100,000 claims, and difficulty is recalibrated every 512 claims, aiming for roughly one claim per minute.
The project describes the contract as ownerless and impossible to pause.
Where Ethicoin fits in
Ethicoin sits at contract 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46. It has a fixed supply of 1 trillion tokens, uses 9 decimals and charges no transfer fee, so a recipient gets exactly the amount sent. It also supports EIP-2612 permits, which allow approvals without a separate gas-paying transaction.
Its gold reference is calculated on-chain: 90,000,000,000 grams divided by circulating supply, with circulating supply defined as totalSupply() minus the 100 billion ETHIC+ remediation balance. The resulting grams per token, divided by 31.1034768 and multiplied by the live XAU/USD spot price, gives the indexed value. Holders can burn tokens, which raises the grams attributed to each remaining token.
The network underneath
RichX Chain is EVM-compatible and runs QBFT Proof of Authority, with blocks reaching finality in about five seconds. Gas is paid in the native RichX Coin (RICHX), whose 1 billion supply was created in the genesis block. At the 1 gwei minimum, a basic transfer costs 0.000021 RICHX. Users can also trade through RichXSwap.
A share set aside for Ghana's rivers
Ethicoin reserves 10% of its supply, or 100,000,000,000 ETHIC+, for cleaning up the Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers in Ghana, which have been damaged by unlicensed gold mining known locally as galamsey. The project says these allocations can be checked on RichXScan, and that no transfer tax is used to fund the work.
Reference data published for the token lists RichX Chain (Chain ID #20260618), block 0xaa682 and transaction 0xc9ac198b8df8fbea20260618.
