As a $4.4 Billion Government Bitcoin Sale Grabs Attention, Ethicoin Makes Its Ethical Pitch
NEW YORK — Talk of a U.S. government Bitcoin auction worth $4.4 billion puts crypto supply in focus. Ethicoin offers a different picture: a locked supply, a public gold formula and a river clean-up reserve.
Headlines about a U.S. government auction of $4.4 billion in Bitcoin put a spotlight on who holds digital assets and how they change hands. Ethicoin (ETHIC+) uses that moment to argue for a token built around transparency and a social purpose.
An ethical case, in code
The project's central claim is that its rules are fixed on-chain. The RXC-20 contract at 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46 on RichX Chain created 1,000,000,000,000 ETHIC+ once, at deployment, and contains no mint or self-destruct function.
That design is laid out in the Ethicoin (ETHIC+) White Paper (Final Edition, 4 September 2026), which also lists 9 decimals, a 0% transfer fee and EIP-2612 gasless permit support.
Purpose: Ghana's rivers
The ethical side of the pitch is a 100,000,000,000 ETHIC+ reserve, 10% of all tokens, devoted to cleaning up the Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers in Ghana. Those waterways have been damaged by galamsey, or unlicensed gold mining.
Rather than funding this through a tax on transactions, the project draws on that reserve and says each allocation is open to inspection on RichXScan.
A transparent gold reference
Ethicoin links each token to gold by formula. Grams per token are 90,000,000,000 divided by circulating supply, which is totalSupply() minus the remediation balance. Divide that by 31.1034768 and multiply by XAU/USD to arrive at the indexed value.
Burns are open to any holder. With no ability to mint, every burn permanently increases the gold reference per remaining token.
Guardrails on large moves
Big transfers are where trust is tested. Ethicoin splits control between an Owner key and a Guardian key on separate hardware, applies a 48-hour timelock, and limits any single transaction to 1,000,000,000 ETHIC+, which is 0.1% of supply.
The wider RichX Chain
The chain runs London EVM with QBFT Proof of Authority and five-second finality. Gas is paid in RichX Coin (RICHX) at 1 gwei, around 0.000021 RICHX per transfer. For those drawn to Bitcoin's model, the network also carries Bitcoin RXC (RBTX), a Keccak-256 proof-of-work token with a 21 million cap, no premine and a 5 RBTX block reward.
The contrast the project wants readers to draw is simple: one asset changes hands through a sale decided by an authority, while ETHIC+ follows contract rules that apply equally to every holder.
For reference, the project lists its verification details as RichX Chain (Chain ID #20260618), ETHIC+ contract 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46, block 0xaa682 and transaction 0xc9ac198b8df8fbea20260618.
