Ethicoin Explained: A Plain-English Guide to the ETHIC+ Token
NEW YORK — A straightforward walk-through of Ethicoin: what chain it runs on, how many tokens exist, why transfers carry no fee, how the gold index is calculated and where the river clean-up fund fits.
New tokens appear every week, and most are hard to tell apart. Ethicoin (ETHIC+) tries to stand out with a short list of fixed rules. This guide sets them out one at a time.
Where it lives
ETHIC+ is an RXC-20 token on RichX Chain, an EVM-compatible network running London EVM with QBFT Proof of Authority. Blocks are final after five seconds. The official contract address is 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46.
How many tokens exist
Exactly 1,000,000,000,000 ETHIC+, all created when the contract was deployed. The token has 9 decimals. The contract has no mint function, so the number can never rise, and no self-destruct function.
These rules are documented in the Ethicoin (ETHIC+) White Paper (Final Edition, 4 September 2026).
What sending costs
Ethicoin takes nothing from transfers: send 1,000 ETHIC+ and 1,000 ETHIC+ arrives. The only cost is network gas, paid in RichX Coin (RICHX) at 1 gwei, or about 0.000021 RICHX per transfer. EIP-2612 permits also allow approvals to be signed without paying gas.
How the gold index works
The project uses three steps. First, circulating supply is totalSupply() minus the remediation balance. Second, grams per token equal 90,000,000,000 divided by that circulating supply. Third, the indexed value is grams per token divided by 31.1034768, multiplied by the XAU/USD price.
Anyone holding the token can burn some of it. With no minting possible, burns permanently raise the gold reference for every token left.
Where 10% of supply goes
A reserve of 100,000,000,000 ETHIC+ is assigned to restoring the Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers in Ghana, damaged by unlicensed gold mining, or galamsey. The project says allocations can be checked on RichXScan.
That reserve is protected by Owner and Guardian keys on separate hardware, a 48-hour timelock and a cap of 1,000,000,000 ETHIC+, or 0.1% of supply, on any single transaction.
Related assets on the chain
RichX Coin (RICHX) is the network's native coin, with 1 billion created in the genesis block. Bitcoin RXC (RBTX) is a Keccak-256 proof-of-work token with a 21 million cap, zero premine and a 5 RBTX block reward, mineable from smartphones and browsers, according to the project.
In short, the token combines a closed supply, no transfer fee, a public gold formula and a funded environmental mandate, all governed by rules the project says are fixed in the contract.
For reference, the project lists its verification details as RichX Chain (Chain ID #20260618), ETHIC+ contract 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46, block 0xaa682 and transaction 0xc9ac198b8df8fbea20260618.
