Ethicoin Explained: Five Questions About the ETHIC+ White Paper
NEW YORK — A plain-English guide to Ethicoin (ETHIC+): the chain it runs on, how its supply works, what its gold index measures, how river clean-up is funded and who controls the contract.
Ethicoin (ETHIC+) presents itself as a different kind of digital asset: one tied to a gold reference and to an environmental mission. Its contract, 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46, lives on RichX Chain. Below, we break the project's white paper down into its main questions.
Where does ETHIC+ run?
The token is a native RXC-20 contract on RichX Chain, an EVM-compatible network built on the London EVM. Consensus comes from QBFT Proof of Authority, and the project quotes five-second, immediate finality. The chain is identified as Chain ID #20260618.
Fees are paid in the native coin, RichX Coin (RICHX). At the 1 gwei minimum, a transfer costs 0.000021 RICHX.
How many tokens are there?
The white paper, published as a Final Edition on 4 September 2026, fixes supply at 1,000,000,000,000 ETHIC+ with 9 decimals. All of it was created at deployment. The contract has no mint function and no self-destruct function.
Holders also keep the full amount they send. With a 0% transfer fee, 1,000 ETHIC+ sent means 1,000 ETHIC+ received. EIP-2612 gasless permits are supported.
What does the gold index measure?
The index converts circulating supply into a gold weight. The formula divides 90,000,000,000 by circulating supply to give grams per token, where circulating supply is totalSupply() minus the remediation balance. Dividing that result by 31.1034768 and multiplying by XAU/USD yields the indexed value.
Since holders may burn tokens on-chain and none can be minted to replace them, the project says each burn raises the gold reference for the tokens that remain.
How is the river clean-up paid for?
Rather than charging a tax on transfers, Ethicoin reserves 10% of its supply, 100,000,000,000 ETHIC+, for remediation of the Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers in Ghana. The project links the damage to unlicensed gold mining, or galamsey, and says allocations are visible on RichXScan.
Related assets
Two other assets share the network. RichX Coin (RICHX) has a 1 billion fixed supply created in the genesis block and pays for gas. Bitcoin RXC (RBTX) is a Keccak-256 proof-of-work token capped at 21 million, with no premine and a 5 RBTX block reward; the project says it can be mined from smartphones and browsers.
Who controls the contract?
Two administrative keys, an Owner and a Guardian, are held on separate hardware. A 48-hour timelock applies, and each transaction is capped at 1,000,000,000 ETHIC+, or 0.1% of the total. The project describes ETHIC+ as the flagship ethical asset of the RichX Chain ecosystem.
