NEW YORK — For institutions in Europe and the Middle East sizing up Ethicoin, the main questions are about control and safety. Here is how the token's keys, caps, timelock and fixed supply are set up.
Large financial players in Europe and the Middle East tend to ask the same questions before they look closely at any digital asset: who holds the keys, what can change, and how quickly. Ethicoin (ETHIC+) answers those questions in its contract design.
Two keys, two machines
Administrative power is divided between an Owner key and a Guardian key, each kept on separate hardware. Changes are subject to a 48-hour timelock, which gives observers two days of notice before anything takes effect.
There is also a hard limit on the size of individual moves. No single transaction can shift more than 1,000,000,000 ETHIC+, which is 0.1% of the total supply.
A supply that cannot be stretched
The contract, deployed on RichX Chain at 0x7023Bb290be415b05491bBBaa45f4D15e4407E46, issued 1,000,000,000,000 tokens once and has no way to issue more. It also contains no self-destruct function, according to the Ethicoin (ETHIC+) White Paper (Final Edition, 4 September 2026).
Settlement and costs
RichX Chain runs London EVM under QBFT Proof of Authority, with blocks reaching immediate finality in five seconds. Gas is paid in RichX Coin (RICHX) at 1 gwei, about 0.000021 RICHX for a transfer.
Ethicoin adds no fee of its own. A 1,000 ETHIC+ payment lands in full, and EIP-2612 permit support allows approvals by signature without spending gas. The token uses 9 decimals.
Reading the gold reference
The value link to gold is set out in plain terms. Grams per token are 90,000,000,000 divided by circulating supply, which equals totalSupply() minus the remediation balance. That figure, divided by 31.1034768 and multiplied by XAU/USD, gives the indexed value.
Holders can burn tokens, and since no new ones can be created, each burn permanently increases the gold weight per remaining token.
An impact mandate built in
Ten percent of supply, 100,000,000,000 ETHIC+, is committed to repairing the Pra, Ankobra and Birim rivers in Ghana, harmed by unlicensed gold mining called galamsey. The project says allocations can be checked on RichXScan, which matters to any institution that must report on how assets are used.
Taken together, the split keys, the timelock, the transaction cap and the fixed supply are the features the project presents as its institutional-grade security layer, combined with an ecological commitment that can be checked on-chain.
